One Number for Life

From LifeHacker,  One phone number to rule them all.

GrandCentral is a brilliant new web app that lets you consolidate all of your phone numbers into one number, meaning someone can call you on your GrandCentral phone number and all of your phones (cell phone, work phone, home phone) will ring. And then it gets interesting.

I'm not ready quite yet.

I agree. I'm not ready for just anyone to find me at any time. BTW, this technology has been around for a while. There's a good reason that it hasn't caught on yet, except for folks in the Wall St./finance world. I still want time alone.

Thanks for the discussion, but GrandCentral doesn't just "find you"...it gives you the ability to only answer the calls you want to take. If somebody is trying to reach you today, you're either going to answer it or it will go to voicemail. With GrandCentral you always get a second option...we tell you who it is and THEN let you decide to take it, send it to voicemail, ListenIn on the voicemail and only join if its important, or take and record the call. The point isn't to make it so everybody can reach you...the point is to give you the tools to only take the calls you want (and to get all of your voicemail in one place if you don't want to taka a call). Hope you like it...its free, so let us know. - Craig Walker, GrandCentral
