I think divorce rings are great. Mine is a gold smiley face! I wore in on my left hand for years but have now moved it to my right hand. It reminds me how great it is not to be married .... to him.

Before I had ever heard of "divorce rings" I've had mine reset twice, already....I earned the darn thing after being married to an abusive alcoholic for 20 yrs.!!!! It's currently white gold with a yellow gold bar set on either side of the diamond to signify 20 yrs.....like service bars. I even have my ex's wedding band, paid for with a savings bond my grandmother had had since I was born (he doesn't know I have his ring) and I also have the house in MY NAME (someting else he doesn't know) so he can't take that away from me either!!!!

I would have loved a divorce ring - great idea!! but the third time is a definite charm so no divorce ring for me.

The official day of my divorce, was the day I opened up my newly purchased wrapped ring. To me it was a gift to myself to honor what I had gone through. Divorce is very hard and very painful with each circumstance. Now each time I look at my ring, I sigh with happiness, because it's over and I am stronger than ever!

I was looking for this so called divorce ring and a friend of mine told me to go on Ebay, said I could find anything there, low and behold, "Divorce Rings". Now I don't have to leave chicks wondering if I'm available, I just wear my ring.
