Why do people say, "if you're so smart, why aren't you rich?"
Because being smart doesn't mean you will be financially well off.
Smarter people are no better off

Entitlement mentality is another and has nothing at all to do with intelligence. I know way too many people who think they are "entitled" to a certain lifestyle. Even when their income doesn't cover it.
Being one of those who scrimped and saved and never bought anything on credit except for a car and a house... I don't understand it. And, while I might be wrong, I believe my IQ is a bit above average. Heh.
