The Healing Power of Music

We know that listening to music can ease stress, but now
scientists are discovering it has a powerful effect on pain, immunity and even recovery from heart attacks.

South African researchers have successfully used Bach's Magnificat to benefit mood, boost the immune system and lower stress hormones in people undergoing physiotherapy for infectious lung disease.

I think it must, because there are times when I can't listen to anything but classical music. In fact, there are rarely times when I CAN'T listen to classical music... but anything else has a limited window of opportunity :)

And, in some subways, they have played with the idea of playing classical music... but for the wrong reasons: because troublemakers hate it so much and don't want to hang around!
